# ZR RAW Resolve Script — Experimental Beta 0.2.0-beta.7

A separate Python script for DaVinci Resolve Studio 21.1+, not the native
ZR RAW Extended Mac app and not a standalone Windows EXE.
Windows, macOS and Linux downloads contain the same script. Actual Windows/Linux
Resolve, GPU, installation and appearance validation is still pending.

## What is included

- One Resolve Scripts menu entry and a dark queue interface.
- Discovered ProRes Proxy/LT/422/HQ choices; per-clip settings and selected renders.
- Queue ordering, save/restore, moved-media relinking and searchable history.
- Pause between clips, explicit unfinished-clip retry and overwrite protection.
- Active-panel watch folders with settling and a five-second cancellation window.
- Cache-folder selection, disk-space checks and owned-cache cleanup on success.
- Source timecode setting/readback/output checks and original-audio verification.
- An initial editable Timeline Builder with per-source dimensions/frame rates.
- Optional diagnostics and signed beta updates, with separate consent.

## What has actually been tested

On one Mac with Resolve 21.1, a genuine 6K R3D sample passed ProRes HQ testing;
the newer ProRes LT path also passed 303 native frames at 24000/1001 fps, source
timecode and original stereo 48 kHz 32-bit float audio verification. A mixed-FPS
Timeline Builder test used that R3D plus a synthetic 60 fps ProRes fixture.
56 Python tests and seven server tests pass. These are not universal guarantees.

HEVC 10-bit 4:2:2 worked in a developer-only Mac experiment, but camera-log
color/metadata parity is not established. **HEVC and All-Intra are not offered
as public compression choices in this beta.** Real NEV/N-RAW and ProRes RAW
qualification, thumbnails, full RAW controls/preview parity, watcher soak tests
and the final beta.7 visual check remain unfinished. ProRes output may be larger
than the RAW source; this is not lossless RAW recompression.

## Test safely

Use copies of footage, a separate Resolve test library and an empty project.
The script refuses to render into an open editing project. Keep original files;
review output images and metadata before relying on an export. You supply trusted
FFmpeg/ffprobe executables. The ZIP contains installation instructions; extract
the launcher and runtime into their separate locations so helper files do not
clutter Resolve's Scripts menu. Older beta.4 installations need the manual
bootstrap migration described in the package.

Feedback is optional/off by default and contains only fixed diagnostic fields,
not media, filenames, paths, raw logs or contact details. Updates are separately
optional. Service unavailability does not block rendering. Deletion requires a
locally received deletion receipt. If the initial server response is lost,
beta.7 cannot recover that receipt: the local report retries until expiry (up to
seven days), and the server copy expires after 30 days via scheduled cleanup.
This can delay subsequent reports. No email or two-way support inbox is included.
