Start with one guided setup.

The guided installer places ZR RAW Extended in Applications and checks that this Mac is ready.

1. 01
   Run the installer

   Quit ZR RAW Extended before upgrading, then open the installer from the DMG. If macOS blocks this non-notarized community build, review System Settings > Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway only if you trust the download.

2. 02
   Let guided setup finish

   One launcher guides setup in Terminal. It checks required components before replacing the app in Applications and preserves your previous app. Some steps need internet access or administrator approval.

   Password appears blank?

   That is normal. At the macOS Password prompt, type your Mac login password and press Return. Terminal shows no letters or dots. Never share your password with support.

4. 04
   Choose an engine

   DaVinci Resolve and REDCINE-X / REDline appear as supported RAW integrations when available on the Mac.

   Open the app

   The installer opens ZR RAW Extended from Applications. A short first-run walkthrough covers engine, queue, and notifications.

6. 06
   Future updates happen in-app

   On Build 247 or newer, choose ZR RAW Extended > Check for Updates. Earlier builds need the latest installer once. Review the notes, download, and click Install and Relaunch. The app restarts with your queue and settings preserved. Active work must finish first; administrator approval may be required.
